Pupil Guidelines
Here is a quick guide and some rules regarding pupil contributions to the Eco Martyrs Blog. I know you guys are responsible and respectful pupils but I just thought we should make sure everyone was clear of the rules.
For the purpose of these guidelines Contributors are referred to as anyone sharing information on the Eco Martyrs Blog. This includes committee members that have been accepted as Administrators.
- Contributors to the Eco Martyrs Blog (EMB) are only to be accepted by Mr Manger or an alternative member of staff.
- Contributors must remember that they are not only representing the Eco Martyrs but English Martyrs Catholic School. Thereby all posts and pages must contain appropriate material.
- Appropriate material on the EMB must be respectful, responsible and relevant to the aims of the Eco Martyrs.
- Under no circumstances should any personal information be displayed on the EMB.
- Contributors are not allowed to discuss or make negative comments regarding teachers, pupils or lessons at English Martyrs.
- No contributor should edit or ammend another contributors posts/pages without the consent of the original contributor. Mr Manger or an alternative member of staff may tweak where ever they deem necessary but will always inform the contributor.
Mr Manger or an alternative member of staff reserve the right to block contributors and adminstrators from this site if they do not follow the guide lines.
These guidelines may also be added to as Mr Manger or an alternative member of staff see fit.
Well glad thats over with! Now for a quick guide.
When writing your posts/pages be detailed, remember anyone can read our blog and not everyone will know that we are a small group of pupils trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible so make sure what ever you are discussing is complete and people will understand what you are saying.
Try to be as relevant and professional as you can. Make sure you include all of the relevant information and check your posts for spelling and grammar. (There is a spell check function!)
If possible make your posts and pages as visually attractive as possible. Add relevant pictures or photographs to them by using the add media function.
If you are on the committee you have been given the responsibility of being an administrator of the EMB. It is very important that you keep high standards when writing your posts/pages.
This guide will be a work in progress as points become apparent (I’m learning too!)
