First Eco Martyrs meeting

Glad to have everyone on board. Can we meet on Tuesday 1st July at lunch time in my room (H9). We’ll discuss where we are going to go from here.

Eco Martyrs with green fingers….

Your first mission should you choose to accept it, will be…..

To design and plant an Eco Martyrs garden. We have acquired a small patch of land (to start with) on Gorse Hill Farm, next door to school. I would like us to be able to design an organic garden on which we can grow vegetables perhaps to sell/or make into something else in order to add value and then sell on. I would very much like all proceeds of any veg sales to go towards feeding people who cant afford to feed themselves. (see this post on the livegeography site) However I would be very open to listening to ideas. At the same time we can learn a bit about growing our own veg and have a bit of fun. Please let me know if you are interested.

Hello all,

Join the Eco Martyrs and become part of the solution……

I would like the Eco Martyrs to be a group of young people from school committed to taking part in practical activities that will benefit the school environment, our local area and moving out to help wherever we can. The Eco Martyrs will be a flexible group willing to meet afterschool, before school and may be even during school depending on our task, ready and willing to learn more about the environment, educate others and be willing to get involved and get our hands dirty to improve OUR environment.
